pei tel starts the new year with a tailwind

More sales, more employees: pei tel Communications GmbH, based in the city of Teltow, near Berlin, is still growing. The company, which develops and manufactures high-quality radio accessories and communication and connectivity solutions, achieved significant sales growth in 2018 and added a number of employees. The company plans to continue this trend in the year that has just started as well. There are plans for numerous new hires, especially in the areas of development, production, and logistics. Two apprenticeship positions are also to be filled with new candidates again this year.

“We plan to harness the good development of the business and make further investments in our future,” says Thomas Martin, CEO of pei tel. The most important measure planned is the expansion of the workforce. pei tel currently has 76 employees. After adding ten new staff members last year, further open positions are to be filled in 2019. The company has two goals in doing this. First, pei tel wants to make it possible to further shift production steps to its site in Teltow. Second, pei tel aims to be able to respond to customer requests and wishes even faster in the future. Creating new jobs should help further optimize delivery times and shorten production times.

pei tel established the physical conditions for the further expansion of the staff two years ago. Additional space was rented in a neighboring building for this purpose. “New employees will find a pleasant working environment and bright prospects here with us,” Martin says. To make the initial training and familiarization period as smooth and short as possible, pei tel introduced an internal mentoring system several years ago. Experienced employees help new additions get started at the company, providing them with advice and assistance. “Our goal is always to keep our people for the long term. That means it’s important to us for our employees to feel comfortable with us, not just in professional terms, but also personally,” Martin explains.
