pei tel sharpens focus on job fairs for recruitment

pei tel Communications GmbH, developer and manufacturer of high-quality communication solutions and radio accessories, plans further growth and is increasingly focusing on job fairs as a recruitment channel. This year marked the first time the company, which is based in the city of Teltow, Brandenburg, attended the connecticum fair held in Berlin on May 15. pei tel will also be represented as an exhibitor at the Teltow Regional Vocational Training Fair in January of next year.

“Technology companies are having an especially hard time finding suitable employees these days. That’s why we want to talk directly to as many potential applicants as possible”, says Martin Busch, HR rep at pei tel. The company is currently looking for quality assurance, production employees and software developers in particular. There is also a formal business and management traineeship position to fill starting in August. Martin Busch believes direct dialogue is the best way to persuade prospective employees of the benefits of working at pei tel: “Our experiences at the connecticum fair showed that we score extra points for our pleasant working environment and close proximity to the attractive urban center of Berlin in particular,” he explains.

pei tel currently has 76 employees. Ten additional positions were created just last year. The company has two goals in expanding. First, pei tel wants to make it possible to further shift production steps to its site in Teltow. pei tel also hopes that creating new jobs will help further optimize delivery times and shorten production times. Martin Busch believes the growth offers an especially appealing starting situation for entry-level candidates: “People who decide to start a career with pei tel now have a chance to not just be a part of an expanding company, but also actively help to shape further development themselves,” he points out.
