pei tel Shows Communication Solution for Extreme Conditions
CEECOACH Professional Enables Communication When Wearing Protective Clothing
If a chemical protective suit has to be worn during firefighting operations, training or exercises, communication options are severely restricted due to the limited freedom of movement. Communication with each other then takes place via the radio, which is often only possible with considerable additional effort under the protective suit. To ensure convenient voice communication within the team in such situations, pei tel Communications GmbH offers the CEECOACH Professional. The solution was specially developed for team communication and provides permanent communication without the need to press a PTT button (push-to-talk). At the INTERSCHUTZ trade fair from 1 to 6 June in Hanover, pei tel will be presenting the CEECOACH Professional and numerous other communication solutions from its own production as well as products from other suppliers at stand A16 in hall 16.
"Communication is particularly difficult when visibility is poor, noise levels are high and freedom of movement is restricted. In firefighting operations, however, these are precisely the moments when clear communication is essential," says Matthias Peucker, Product Manager at pei tel Communications GmbH. With the CEECOACH Professional, groups of up to 16 people remain reliably connected even under extreme conditions. The device is characterised by easy handling and protection against environmental influences in accordance with protection class IP67. The lightweight and compact design ensures that the CEECOACH Professional can be carried comfortably on the body and operated even with limited freedom of movement. Standard headsets, headphones or earphones with a 3.5 mm jack plug and Bluetooth headsets can be connected. The range is up to 700 metres with a clear view.
In addition to the CEECOACH Professional, pei tel will also be presenting the continuation of its "Communication saves lives" campaign at INTERSCHUTZ. As in the previous year, the campaign includes a website at www.kommunikation-rettet-leben.de, regular reports in the social media and various competitions and join-in activities. From May, pei tel will be giving away tickets for INTERSCHUTZ on Instagram. In line with the campaign, interested visitors to the trade fair will be able to see for themselves numerous products and solutions that ensure clear and reliable communication during an operation. These include, for example, the robust PTIntercom intercom system, which provides secure and direct communication between up to four spatially separated vehicle areas, the LHM600 vehicle charging cradle for Motorola MXP600 with the additionally available upgrade kit, which offers tool-free replacement of existing charging cradles for older MTP850 FuG radios, and the PTCarPhone car phone, which features reliable LTE connectivity, an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot and a GPS module for precise real-time vehicle location tracking. Visitors can also experience the Smart Battery Sensor live, which monitors the health status of vehicle batteries, reports critical conditions directly by e-mail and thus prevents the failure of an emergency vehicle.
As a certified Motorola Solutions Distributor, pei tel will also be showcasing a wide range of professional radio technology for fire and rescue services from the American manufacturer at INTERSCHUTZ. One highlight will be the Motorola Solutions bodycams, which record every operation and can be seamlessly integrated into existing processes. Thanks to the user-friendly VideoManager backend software, configuration and maintenance can be carried out at will with minimal training and no interruptions. "We have significantly expanded our portfolio once again in recent years. At the trade fair, we will therefore be offering fire and rescue services everything they need for modern communication, from advice on individual products to complete solutions," explains Steven Hilgemann, Category Manager PMR and TETRA/BOS at pei tel.
