Critical Communications World – pei tel shows latest radio generation

Rugged, featuring good comprehension, and already equipped for the tasks of tomorrow: Motorola Solutions now offers the MOTOTRBO R7, a digital radio unit that not only has IP66 and IP68 ratings for protection from dirt and water, but also features extraordinary noise suppression and voice clarity. It also comes with the latest Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options, so it is versatile and can be connected to currently available and future systems alike. pei tel Communications GmbH will be showing the MOTOTRBO R7 at booth F60 at Critical Communications World, to be held in Vienna June 21–23. The developer, manufacturer, and distributor of safety-critical communication solutions will also be showing numerous other products from well-known manufacturers and its own broad product range at the event.

“The world of safety-critical communication solutions has grown more diverse. We want to showcase that diversity at Critical Communications World,” says Thomas Martin, CEO of pei tel. In addition to the MOTOTRBO R7, visitors to the company’s booth will also be able to learn about solutions such as the WAVE PTX™ application from Motorola Solutions. This application makes it possible to connect various devices in any kind of network. It consists of a service for radio units, an app compatible with smartphones and tablets, and Web-based dispatch software for control purposes. This lets government agencies or companies working in safety-critical environments harness the multimedia capabilities of broadband devices without having to do without radio devices.

Standard commercially available iOS and Android smartphones can be integrated into a WAVE PTX™ environment. The WAVE PTX™ app, which is available from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, can be used with a license to organize the devices into any number of groups with any configuration. pei tel also offers the EVOLVE smartphone from Motorola Solutions, which was specifically developed for WAVE PTX™. The mobile broadband device runs the Android operating system. It has LTE and Wi-Fi capability, and the enclosure is shockproof and waterproof with an IP68 and MIL-STD-810 rating, offering ideal protection for use under tough conditions. Experts from pei tel will be on hand at the event to answer questions about the device’s many different uses. The company also plans to offer a broad selection of microphone types, handsets, speakers, desktop microphones, and various accessories, like the new LHM600 vehicle charging cradle for the new MXP600 TETRA portable radio from Motorola Solutions. The LHM600 charging cradle’s features include a wide operating voltage range, gold-plated contacts, and a clever light design.
